We are pleased to announce that MSD is the recipient of Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA).
We are pleased to announce that MSD is the recipient of Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). Peak Performance Awards recognize NACWA member agency facilities for outstanding compliance of their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit limits. There are three award categories: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The following MSD wastewater treatment plants won Peak Performance Awards:
- Platinum: Missouri River
- Gold: Bissell Point, Lemay, Fenton, and Lower Meramec
- Silver: Grand Glaize and Coldwater
Platinum awards recognize 100 percent compliance with NPDES permits over a consecutive five year period. Gold Awards recognize 100 percent compliance with their NPDES permit for an entire calendar year. Silver Awards recognize facilities that have received no more than five NPDES permit violations per calendar year. The Gold and Silver awards cover calendar year 2011.
