Our commitment

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD Project Clear) is committed to ensuring that

msdprojectclear.org is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe

every person has the right to access public information and services with dignity, equality,

comfort, and independence.

We measure the accessibility of this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

(WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the technical standard most commonly referenced by U.S. courts and the

Department of Justice for website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In October 2026 we assessed the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated testing across

14 representative pages, followed by a remediation program that addressed every issue within

our control. Based on that assessment, msdprojectclear.org conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with

the single documented third-party exception described below. We continue to test and improve

the site on an ongoing basis.

ShareThis sharing widget (documented exception). Newsroom article pages include a ShareThis

social-sharing widget served from ShareThis’s servers. The widget’s “Share” button does not meet

the WCAG minimum text-contrast ratio, and its colors are controlled entirely by ShareThis’s

code — they cannot be changed from our site. All other sharing options on the site are

unaffected.

This site also offers the UserWay accessibility widget, available from the icon in the corner

of the page, which provides optional display and navigation adjustments. It is offered as a

convenience; the accessibility of this site is built into the site’s own code.
