Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) are repairing a section of Lemay Ferry Road that has collapsed near Keller Plaza Drive. Drivers are asked to avoid Lemay Ferry Road near the intersection of Keller Plaza Drive as MSD crews work to fix a collapsed sewer main.
MSD crews have closed down a northbound lane of Lemay Ferry Road at the intersection at Keller Plaza Drive so that the MSD crews can repair the collapsed section.
The collapse was initially identified on Monday, February 23rd, 2015. Repair work began on Tuesday, but the scope of the problem was larger than visual inspections could originally determine. MSD has brought on a larger contractor with more resources and experience with issues of this size to complete the repair.
The sewage spill was reported to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, as required.
