Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) are currently repairing a sewer main near the intersection of Big Bend and Rupert. This repair requires traffic to be diverted around the northbound lanes of Big Bend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and completely open to traffic from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. to avoid morning and evening rush hour.
MSD crews began work on the sewer main Saturday, hoping to have the repairs completed Monday. This sewer handles both wastewater and storm water, due to the excess rain over the past few days repairs have been delayed.
MSD will provide updates on the progress of this repair work as they become available.
