Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) are currently repairing a sewer main in University City on Midland Boulevard between Canton Road and Olive Boulevard. This repair requires the southbound lanes of Midland Boulevard to be closed so that crews can complete the necessary repairs. Southbound traffic will be diverted on to Hanley Road, where they can then access Olive Boulevard.
MSD crews began work on the sewer main today (Wednesday) after discovering a section of the road had buckled due to the excess rain. Repairs to the sewer main are expected to be completed by Friday. This sewer handles both wastewater and stormwater, which could delay repairs.
