MSD plans to close one lane of Manchester Road just east of Hanley Road in Maplewood on Thursday, April 25 for emergency repair work. The lane closure is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The lane is expected to remain closed until Friday morning, weather permitting. This work is necessary in order to finish repairs on a section of 42-inch corrugated metal stormwater sewer that collapsed two weeks ago. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes until the work is completed. The 42-inch corrugated metal stormwater sewer runs underneath all lanes of Hanley Road south of Manchester Road and carries stormwater. The sewer dates to the 1930s.
