Learn How to Build a Rain Garden with MSD

One of MSD’s goals is to educate the St. Louis community on stormwater best management practices. One of those best management practices is rain gardens.

One of MSD’s goals is to educate the St. Louis community on stormwater best management practices. One of those best management practices is rain gardens.  A rain garden allows stormwater runoff from roofs, driveways, and other impervious areas to be absorbed into the ground. This reduces erosion, water pollution and flooding. MSD is teaming up with the Center of Clayton to offer a class in how to build a rain garden. The Build a Rain Garden class is Tuesday, June 14, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Center of Clayton, 50 Gay Avenue in Clayton. The class is taught by Roland Biehl, Environmental Specialist at MSD. The class is free, but registration is required.  Registration for Clayton residents begins April 4. Registration for non-residents begins April 9. To register, please contact the Center of Clayton at 314-289-8500.
