Do Your Part
- Storm Drain Marking – Head out to a local neighborhood to mark storm drains with a “NO DUMPING, DRAINS TO STREAM” sticker. Doing so reminds those who live nearby that sewers are for water, not trash – because dumping waste in the sewers leads to pollution of local streams.
- Stream and Neighborhood Cleanups – Did you know you live in a watershed? Learn more about your local watershed by volunteering to remove trash from local rivers and streams.
- Be a good steward of the sewer system – Keep trash, pet waste, leaves and sticks out of street sewers, and be sure to keep all fats, oil, grease (FOG) and food particles from going down the drain in the kitchen. Even better, tell your friends and family to do the same. Here is a flyer to learn more about FOG.
