Richard R. Wilson has been appointed by City of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, effective February 14, 2020, to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD).
Mr. Wilson is a retired Colonel in the United States Army having served seven years of active duty and 25 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. His military assignments include serving as the Commander of the 25th Reserve training Unit and as the Director of Special Projects Army Materiel Command. He graduated with honors from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Mr. Wilson was employed by H&R Block in various management and tax professional roles. He most recently served as the Manager of the Administrative Support Center which provided accounts payable, human resources and payroll, cash management and bookkeeping services to the region headquartered in St. Louis.
Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Business Administration and Public Administration from Webster University.
Mr. Wilson is filling Freddie Dunlap’s unexpired term which ends in March 2022.
Voters in 1954 established a six-member Board of Trustees to be the governing body of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Three members are appointed by the St. Louis City Mayor and three members are appointed by the St. Louis County Executive. MSD’s Board members are trustees of public property and public funds and are responsible to the customers they serve.
