Scam Alert
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) has received reports of scammers contacting customers and requesting payments over the phone. MSD does not call customers and ask for credit car d information or payments by phone. Any calls by persons claiming to be from MSD and requesting this information should be considered suspicious..
To assist with collection of deliquent billings, MSD does employ outside firms, however, these firms mail letters to customers first. If payment is not received at the prompt of the letter, the customer can expect to receive a call from a firm. Customers who are current on their account would not receive a call.
If you are contacted by someone claiming to be an MSD employee and asking for phone payment, or have any questions regarding your account, please call our Billing Department at 1 (866) 281-5737.
