Low Income Assistance Available to Qualified Customers

MSD offers a low income assistance program to qualified customers. If you are qualified low income, elderly, or disabled, you can apply to receive a 50 percent rate reduction in your MSD monthly bill charge.

MSD offers a low income assistance program to qualified customers. If you are qualified low income, elderly, or disabled, you can apply to receive a 50 percent rate reduction in your MSD monthly bill charge. In order to qualify, the customer:

  • Must have a total annual income for the previous year of less than 150 percent of the most recent Health and Human Services (HHS) poverty guidelines, based on the size of the household.
  • Disabled customers and seniors must earn less than 175 percent of the most recent HHS poverty guidelines, based on household size.
