Freddie Dunlap was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
Freddie Dunlap was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) by City of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson on Monday, January 1, 2018. Mr. Dunlap is filling Ruby Bonner’s unexpired term which ends March 15, 2018.
Mr. Dunlap is a retired City of St. Louis administrator, having served most recently as the City Assessor where he oversaw the assessment of approximately 100,000 vehicles and 140,000 real estate parcels. Prior to serving the City of St. Louis, Mr. Dunlap worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where he ended his 20-year career as Area Manager of Purchasing and Inventory. In addition to his regular duties, he also oversaw the company’s minority and women’s business development programs within a five-state territory.
Previously, Mr. Dunlap served in the U.S. Air Force where he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. In his 20-year career, Mr. Dunlap completed four tours of duty in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War and also served overseas in Turkey. He received several medals of recognition including the Bronze Star Medal, the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal.
Mr. Dunlap currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Employees Retirement System for the City of St. Louis and on the Soldiers Memorial Commission.
A graduate of Tarkio College in Tarkio, Missouri, Mr. Dunlap holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Mr. Dunlap’s term expires in March, 2018.
