Explosion causes manhole covers to blow off in north St. Louis

Capt. Dave Neighbors with the St. Louis Fire Department said it appears something settled into the sewer system and caused an explosive reaction around 1 p.m. No one was injured when the manhole covers blew off. The scene is near East Grand Avenue and Hall Street.
