‘Rejuvenated’: St. Louis church’s $800,000 project fights blight, curbs runoff

ST. LOUIS — A church in north St. Louis has embarked on an $800,000 effort to build a series of giant rain gardens on its property, aimed at catching stormwater just long enough to stop it from overwhelming the city sewer system.
