Stormwater Bill Estimator

Stormwater charges are determined by whether a property is classified as residential or non-residential.  Non-residential customers are billed $1.05 per month per 1,000 square feet of impervious surface, which includes areas like roofs and parking lots that do not absorb stormwater and create runoff.  Non-residential customers are billed directly by MSD and monthly charges can be found in the “Detail of Current Charges” section of your bill.  Residential customers do not have a monthly Stormwater Service Charge and instead pay a voter-approved rate on annual property tax bills. Non-Residential customers can use the tool below to see what their monthly Stormwater Service Charge will be.  Residential customers can visit www.msdprojectclear.org/stormwatertaxes for detailed information on stormwater tax rates.
